July 2016

Mary Ann and Erika will be at the International Literacy Association (ILA) Annual Conference in Boston, presenting on “Transitioning to Text Sets” and “Teaching with Text Sets” on Saturday, July 9th.

Katie will also be at the International Literacy Association (ILA) Annual Conference in Boston, presenting on “Literacy Leadership 2.0: Harnessing the Power of the Digital Literacy Landscape to Support Teachers in Changing Schools” on Monday, July 11th.

October 2016

Mary Ann and Erika will be at the Literacy for All Conference in Providence, Rhode Island presenting on “When is Nonfiction Not Nonfiction?” on Tuesday, October 25th.

November 2016

Katie will be at the Connecticut Reading Association Annual Conference on November 3rd and 4th and the New York State Reading Association Annual Conference on November 13th and 14th presenting on “Text Sets as the New Super Story”.

We will all be at the National Council of Teachers of English conference in Atlanta, Georgia November 17th-20th.

Mary Ann will be presenting on “Mixed Feelings: Engaging Students in Historical Truth”  as well as  “The 2016 Orbis Pictus Books: Sharing Nonfiction with Children.”

Katie, Erika, and Grace will be presenting on “Closing the Story Gap in PreK-2 Classrooms.”
