Rethinking Thanksgiving
We wanted to make sure our readers knew about the “Rethinking Thanksgiving” webinar hosted by authors Kate Messner and Traci Sorell on Thursday, November 12th. This interactive and accessible event ($15.00) is designed for students in grades 3-7, along with their teachers and caregivers. If you and your students can’t participate live, a recording will be made available to those who have registered.
On our blog, we are committed to reframing American history and centering the experiences and histories of Indigenous people. Below, we’ve included links to recent blog entries on works of fiction and nonfiction by Indigenous authors that can help you do this work in your classroom.
